Why Is Fitness Important
For Our Clients?
Research shows that exercise can help reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, mania, and cravings for substances. For adults facing treatment or clinical conditions, their personal fitness can be an integral part of their road to independence.
Well Rounded Fitness Opportunities
We encourage all of our clients to consider numerous forms of exercise and fitness support, both individually and as part of our exercise groups and services. For those that participate, we see marked improvements in self-esteem, vitality, body awareness, alertness, and an overall sense of wellbeing.
We offer a broad range of fitness opportunities and recommend balanced regimens including cardiovascular endurance (e.g. swimming, biking, or running), muscular strength (e.g. lifting weights or resistance exercises), muscular endurance (e.g. walking, jogging, dancing), as well as yoga and adaptive yoga, flexibility and stretching.
To supplement their fitness journey, our clients have access to receive nutritional support. Our health and wellness professionals are supervised by our clinical team to ensure an integrated experience.
Personalized Fitness
Exercise can be a daunting task and that is why our fitness and exercise support is also available individually to support our clients as they get started. Our personalized approach pairs each client with a member of our team of wellness professionals so that they can develop individualized fitness plans.
Holistic Care
In addition to physical fitness, our holistic practitioners are an integral part of our treatment. Clients can be placed on a health and wellness track or purchase individual sessions with instructors in private yoga instruction, meditation, reiki, aromatherapy, personal training and acupuncture.
