Get to Know Us
Speech and cognitive deficits are some of the most significant challenges faced by brain injury survivors, impacting their ability to think, communicate, and live independently. Difficulties with memory, concentration, problem-solving, and verbal expression can interfere with daily activities, making it harder to return to school, work, or even manage basic self-care.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long can individuals expect to receive speech theerapy? The length of an individual’s therapy plan will vary significantly based on a number of factors—including the severity of the injury, that person’s specific goals and challenges, and more. Some individuals will only participate in a treatment plan for a few months, while others will need speech therapy for multiple years.
How long are speech therapy sessions? Typically, speech therapy sessions are 60 mins.
Where does speech therapy take place? We offer speech therapy at our neurorehabilitation programs in Dublin, Quakertown, and Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Do you offer speech therapy in New Jersey? No. In New Jersey, we only offer Home- and Community-Based Services through our Community Skills Program division. The service focus is Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapy and Vocational Skills Counseling.
What funding do you take? In Pennsylvania, Success Rehabilitation accepts funding from the Head Injury Program, CHC Wavier, Workers Comp, and Private Pay. In New Jersey, we accept the Horizon NJ through MLTSS, NJ TBI Fund, Workers Comp, and Private Pay.
Who does Success Rehabilitation work with? All of our clients have a primary diagnosis of a brain injury. We work with people ages 18- to 70 years old who have suffered a traumatic or acquired brain injury. This means we work with those who have suffered motor vehicle accidents, blunt force trauma to the head at work or in community, slip and falls, strokes, brain tumors, seizure disorders, and more.
Does it matter when the brain injury took place? No! Our brain injury rehab in Pennsylvania and New Jersey serves consumers who have suffered a recent brain injury, as well as those who have been dealing with the effects for years.
Why do people have trouble swallowing after brain injury? Eating and drinking are complex cognitive functions that require precise coordination between the mouth, tongue, throat, and esophagus. Brain injuries can disrupt this coordination, making swallowing food and liquids much more difficult. In addition to addressing communication and cognitive challenges, our speech-language pathologists work with individuals to improve their ability to swallow safely, reducing the risk of coughing, choking, or other swallowing difficulties.
